THE ROLE

A contract Senior Financial Analyst role providing maternity leave coverage with the Canadian division of an international team, offering broad scope of responsibilities to support regional business lines with their pro-formas and financial reporting to head office.

THE TASKS
Data Analytics
  • Collect, clean, and organize data from various internal and external sources to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Apply business rules and meaningful algorithms when creating dashboards
  • Create visualizations, charts, graphs, and dashboards to present data in clear and understandable formats
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, relationships, and develop predictive models for forecasting
  • Perform A/B testing and experimentation to evaluate strategy effectiveness and support business objectives
  • Support banner business analysis, digital team initiatives, and budgeting processes through comprehensive data analysis
  • Monitor and evaluate data analytics model performance, continuously refining approaches as needed

Management Reporting

  • Gather and analyze data from financial systems, operational databases, and KPIs to generate insights and trends
  • Develop comprehensive reports, dashboards, and scorecards highlighting financial performance and operational results
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify deviations from targets and investigate underlying causes
  • Support monthly corporate reporting submissions to Paris headquarters and prepare executive presentation materials

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration
  • Support business partnering activities with banner management teams and gather information for annual planning initiatives
  • Manage stakeholder expectations by setting clear goals and providing regular updates on project milestones and deliverables

  • Successfully managed all data analytics and reporting responsibilities independently
  • Supported budget development and planning processes during critical seasonal periods
  • Provided valuable insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making throughout the engagement

THE SKILL SET
  • CPA designation or near completion
  • Minimum 3+ years of progressive finance experience
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with big data analytics
  • Management Reporting or FP&A experience in a corporate environment
