THE ROLE A strategic accounting leader who will manage client relationships, oversee workflow, and provide mentorship to staff while working directly with the firm's managing partners to drive growth in the regional office.
File Management & Technical Oversight (55%)

THE TASKS File Management & Technical Oversight
Review corporate year-end financials, compilations, and tax returns for accuracy and compliance
Lead technical file review for approximately 400 corporate clients
Oversee personal tax review for 1300-1500 returns during tax season
Coordinate with our overseas office on file preparation workflow
Maintain quality control standards and ensure timely delivery to clients
Team Leadership & Development
Mentor and develop accounting staff, focusing on skills advancement and career growth
Manage workflow and resource allocation across multiple service lines
Coordinate with partners on staff evaluations and performance reviews
Foster a collaborative, small-town atmosphere while maintaining high professional standards
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain relationships with key clients in the region and surrounding areas
Identify client needs and provide strategic business advice beyond compliance work
Work with partners on succession planning opportunities for farming and small business clients

EXPECTATIONS TIMELINE By Month 1
Begin building relationships with the team and key clients
Gain understanding of office workflow and file management systems
Learn the firm's approach to file review and quality control
Start familiarizing yourself with the overseas office workflow process
By Month 3
Take ownership of file review process for a portion of corporate clients
Begin presenting monthly office performance to managing partners
Establish rapport with staff and identify development opportunities
Have a solid understanding of the client base and service offerings
By Month 6
Manage complete review cycle for corporate and personal tax files
Lead staff on process improvements and efficiency initiatives
Begin taking ownership of client relationships
Contribute to strategic discussions about office growth
