THE ROLE
A strategic accounting leader who will manage client relationships, oversee workflow, and provide mentorship to staff while working directly with the firm's managing partners to drive growth in the regional office.

THE TASKS
File Management & Technical Oversight
  • Manage approximately 1,800 annual tax returns and 300-500 corporate clients
  • Conduct high-level review of compilation financial statements and corporate tax returns
  • Ensure accuracy of tax planning and preparation for professional corporations and small businesses
  • Develop and implement quality control processes for technical accounting work
  • Provide advanced technical guidance on complex accounting and tax matters
  • Oversee tax strategies for diverse client base (50% farmers, 50% other industries)

Team Leadership & Development
  • Mentor senior accountants and managers, focusing on professional growth and skill development
  • Manage office administrative aspects, workflow, and resource allocation
  • Participate in recruiting and staff development initiatives
  • Conduct monthly performance reviews and create professional advancement strategies
  • Collaborate with firm leadership on office-wide standardization efforts

Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as primary point of contact for key client relationships
  • Develop personalized service approaches for diverse client portfolio
  • Identify and execute opportunities for service expansion and client growth
